Limelight Young Performers & Young Technicians
Come and join our new weekly theatre school, working towards full scale musical productions!
Where & When
We are running sessions for 9 to 18 year olds,
6.30–8.30pm every Tuesday during term time
(with breaks during school holidays).
We also run holiday projects, including workshops with wider age ranges, which you can find out
more about below!

We are delighted to be working alongside
the Performing Arts department at Suffolk New College,
with the vast majority of our rehearsals and workshops taking place there.

(although we'd recommend not joining in the 2 months before a production, as there'll be a lot to learn very quickly!)​

Limelight Young Performers is run in a similar way to our popular Show in a Week projects, but with more time to focus on specific technique and skills building, and to expand on what we can offer in just one week! We have a big team leading it, including lots of familiar faces from our other projects, so you get to work with lots of different people throughout each term!

Each session is a workshop-style rehearsal, often focusing on specific elements of the upcoming productions. Our next show is Disney's Camp Rock, which is running at Dance East on 20th June 2026.
​
We also have occasional one-off workshops, focusing on specific technique, other content, and skills in other areas linked to the theatre industry.
We're also delighted to be looking at adding an option to focus on technical / backstage / production elements. This is open to anyone aged 12-18, and will be a perfect opportunity to learn about this side of theatre, working with industry professionals, and being able to get into more depth with hands-on experience than we can on a 'show in a week'! We're also looking to add the option to gain additional certifications and offering even more extra benefits, but to start with will be working towards the first shows!
Sign Up & Payments
As with all of our projects, we're committed to keeping the arts accessible to as many people as possible, so are keeping membership fees very low at just £25 a month. This is payable by subscription year round to spread the cost, although the sessions only run term time. You can book a free trial to try it out before you commit, with a partial payment being taken for the remainder of the first month, with the first £25 payment being taken at the start of the next month.
