"I'm new to this incredible group of welcoming singers and have had such fun rehearsing our diverse range of songs with them.
Initially, I absolutely loathed the Jersey Boys medley, as I disliked all the elongated vowel sounds. But having listened to how Frankie sings it, I relaxed into the vibe of the piece and it's now actually one of my favourites; along with the Les Mis medley.

But what truly makes it meaningful is the people. There’s an energy in the room when we come together—a mix of laughter, focus, and shared passion. "I have been part of this lovely group of people for nearly 3 years & really enjoy singing together every week. We have such fun learning the different songs. I always leave at the end of the evening with a smile on my face. It's very hard to choose a favourite song from this concert, I have a few. The Aladdin Medley is one of them. My favourite things from The Sound of Music is an all time favourite of mine. It's taken me nearly 3 years to pluck up the courage to do this song as a solo in one of our concerts. Tickets are only £10. Please come & share the evening with us."

"What do a supermarket delivery driver, a freight forwarder, an animal feed formulator and a musician have in common? We're all Community Voices.
The Voices are a wonderful group of people, all of whom love to sing. They are a fantastic group to work with, giving their all and their friendship, making a great group to spend an evening with and a fantastic sound together too.
My favourite song? Well that's a difficult question, but I can't help but love the exuberance of Oklahoma! It gives us all a buzz and puts smiles on all faces.
Do come and enjoy the show, we promise it will be a great evening!"

"I'm so excited to be sharing our music on the stage with friends at our upcoming concert, where there's something for everyone! It's a privilege to be leading them for "The Black Hills of Dakota", which brings back so many happy memories watching Calamity Jane on a Saturday afternoon with family and us all crooning along!! With tickets at £10, we'd love to see as many people there as possible to share the evening with us and help raise money for our charity group at the same time."

Last weekend, we took to the stage at Gallery Studio Theatre with The Wizard of Oz: Youth Edition — the culmination of an unforgettable “Show in a Week” project! ✨🌈
In just five days, our talented young cast and crew rehearsed, learned lines, mastered choreography, built characters, and brought the magical world of Oz to life. From Kansas to the Emerald City, every moment on stage was filled with energy, commitment, and heart. 💚
We are so proud of the courage, teamwork, and creativity shown by every single person involved. Taking on a full production in one week is no small feat — and they rose to the challenge brilliantly.
A huge thank you to our team, families, and everyone who made the week possible — and most importantly, to the young people who were incredible throughout! 👠🌪️

It’s finally time!
Our amazing young cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz: Youth edition are about to hit the stage.
Starting the week with rehearsals at Suffolk New College, then moving into the theatre a couple of days ago, they have been working so hard to bring the magic of Oz to the Gallery Studio Theatre 🌟

Our amazing young cast and crew of The Wizard of Oz: Youth edition are about to hit the stage.
Starting the week with rehearsals at Suffolk New College, then moving into the theatre a couple of days ago, they have been working so hard to bring the magic of Oz to the Gallery Studio Theatre 🌟

The new local theatre group in Suffolk.
Welcome to Limelight Performers! We are an amateur musical theatre group and registered charity based in Ipswich, Suffolk. We produce high quality productions throughout the year, across a mix of different age groups (9+), performing in various wonderful local venues, and are always aiming to make theatre accessible to as many people as possible. To do this, we keep our ticket prices and membership fees as low as we can - and hold open auditions for all productions which anyone can attend. We create a variety of opportunities year round, and hope you'll join us to see what we do or have your chance to be 'in the limelight' too!
